Warning: Read at your own discretion, this is my biggest journal to date.
I don't think I've ever actually gone out and told people about all of my stories, maybe a few people here and there, but not like I'm doing now. But I just got a new idea for another story today, very slightly based on the myth of the Jersey Devil, VERY slightly. So no it's not going to be ABOUT ol' JD itself.
I thik I did say before that I think I'm more of a creative artist than a visual artist, yeah that sounds odd but I have so many undone stories and almost nothing drawn. And even though I have all this slowly growing day by day here on my comp, I finally feel that I want to share lots of stuff about my stories. So....here goes:
First are my first four original stories, because I have four fanfic ideas, the new story slightly based on the JD myth will be last, but my fifth original idea anyway. These four are in order of first ideas for each being thought up.
(1) - My first story has no title, and I've been building on its idea since high school and redid the story a few times Dx
Best media I would like to make it as would be an action RGP like The Legend of Zelda (don't tell me LoZ isn't an RPG, yes I know it's action adventure, but its first game was one of the original RPGs for Nintendo and was an action RPG, before there became so many more game genres). I've actually been thinking of making a module for Neverwinter Nights based on this story of mine, but I don't know how to use the NWN Aurora Toolset (campaign editor).
Takes place in a medieval type world initially starring two characters Larrick Loehr and Daimoth Vencry. They aren't related by blood but since childhood they've been best friends, fiercest rivals, but consider themselves brothers since they are two of the few survivors from when their village was destroyed when they were children. Over their years growing up before it takes place, they were raised by one of the realms knights named Lareg Stormwing. Solaris (I came up with the name before that George whats-his-face's movie and before I played Xenogears, and before I heard it anywhere) wasn't raised by a single person or family, he was raised by the people that worked at the library. Their friends Bren and Garn (twin brothers who also survived their village's destruction) grew up with a blacksmith's family who always wanted children but could never have children. The last main character from their village Clara was taken in by a family close to the royal family, so she was raised around the castle more than the other five. There were other survivors, but these six were the only children to survive and the main characters.
I have the basic plot thought up, but not all of what happens. And I only want to put here the stuff about the first book of this story. I don't mean book as in novel, but like how some novels are (like Brothers War by Jeff Grubb, a Magic: The Gathering novel), where a big collection of chapters make up one book, and more chapters for another, all within one novel.
But for this part of the story around these six characters, basically it's a story of there being a big evil wizard, Larrick and company (Daimoth and Clara) venture around a bit, Daimoth become bad guy and is joined by Garn, eventually they become good guys again, and in the end of this first big part they beat the big bad wizard. Like I said, that's BASICALLY the story, obviously not much detail there, the rest I'm not going to put here for a list of reasons, main thing being that I don't want to ruin lots of in depth plot in case I do get this story out in some way, be it a novel or a game or something.
But I will say that Larrick has a twin sister Reya who is not part of this first part of the story.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(2) - Moonshade (I got the title from an idea I wanted to do in it, dropped the idea but kept the title x.x)
Now for the second story, this and the next two I want to make comics of, any other media after that like a game or cartoon/anime would be awesome. I say "/anime" because most english cartoons are just little kid shows, meanwhile anime reaches to all ages with lots of stuff that shouldn't be seen by children, and while these aren't some of those that shouldn't be seen by children, they won't appeal to those little kids like other cartoons on tv. That and I wouldn't want to see these as little childish cartoons, especially with how serious Begin Again and Rainer's story are (Rainer's has guns, killing, and in one case...mindless slaughter and destruction of almost half a city).
This one is more of a sci-fi story, it takes place on an alternate Earth with some changes to the planet itself. The overall size of the planet is smaller than the one we live on, but it's atmosphere is about the same as ours or maybe even bigger. Humans no longer live on the surface of the planet (human population became so huge), but on four gigantic rings that rotate around the planet and are all connected to the planet at two based, both at each pole. Two rotate one direction and the other two rotate the opposite direction (two going east, two going west), but they also rotate at a pretty slow speed. So that means that the two rings that rotate against the rotation of the planet aren't going to have sunlight or no sun for months. This also means that there are a couple times a year that the four lower rings going one way will have one half of another ring going the opposite way up in their sky. So when it's directly above, they don't get direct sunlight in the middle of the day almost like an eclipse. Also means that when one is to the west and one is to the east, they almost get two sunsets and two sunrises. I'm not a scientist or engineer so I don't care if those parts of this world are impossible in the real world, since it is fiction. And other than that, the culture and technology (except for the obvious I just explained) of the world is almost the same as ours, so it's not a space age or super advanced world. And before anyone questions how living on the four rings (which are actually eight parts to live on called an Axis) allows for more population than the surface of the planet, that's pretty easy. Each axis is NOT thin, their width range from about 1/4~1/2 the width of the continental USA from east to west. This Earth is also smaller than ours and also has about the same % of ocean as ours.
SO, finally after all of that, on to characters and a little bit of plot.
The main character is now named Cole Loehr, so any of those "Will" pictures in my gallery (can't remember if I changed anything in the gallery or not) are old designs of him, I've even changed his clothing style since then. Other main characters are Alec, Lucas, Jacob, Ash, Sabyr, Casey, and Jessie; the first three are guys and Ash~Jessie are girls. Alec's family adopted Cole, Lucas is Alec's cousin, Lucas is in a relationship with Casey, Casey knew Ash before moving to the axis they're all on, and Ash developes a relationship with Cole. Jacob and Jessie are siblings and close friends to the rest, Jessie is blind since birth but amazing on violin and piano (so good one would never guess she's blind if they heard her music). Sabyr is initially a mystery character so I don't want to explain her relation to the rest other than she lives with Ash's family. And damn, after typing all the relationships like that and reading it, it almost sounds like a sitcom. It is by no means a sitcom, SO on to a bit of plot to make it sound less like a sitcom!!
With most humanity having left the surface of the planet, natural evolutions of various animals have almost sped up without human interference. Even to the point of a species that almost jumped out of fiction....dragons. Not just have some reptiles evolved into majestic mythological dragons, but some have even developed magic-like powers allowing them to shapeshift and various other abilities. Almost like a physical manifestation of nature itself, most dragons are very wise and can know more than most humans. But with the shapeshifting ability, some dragons through the years have chosen to live with humans, be it to observe them or to be one of them. This also resulted in crossbreeding of dragons and humans called dragonians, they arent mishapen or anything since the dragon is in a human form, but later in life they show more strength, speed, agility, intellect (and various other things) than normal humans. For example of one of those 'various other things,' some have such great lungs and bodies they can stay underwater (not breathe underwater) for at least 30 minutes with no problem, like how most normal humans in the real world can for at least 30 seconds with no problem. Big thing about them being more capable than pure blood humans is that it turns into jealousy and eventually racism and you get the picture. Now that I've explained the draconians, Cole and Sabyr are 1/2 dragon (first generation crossbreed), Alec and Casey are 1/4 dragon (second generation crossbreed), and that's about it for the main characters.
Basic plot time!! *Breathes in deeply* Ash's father is owner of a giant corporation (no name yet) of various technology but with a darkside, they secretly are trying to exterminate draconians by any means necessary, Cole and company (Alec, Lucas, and Casey) go to the axis that the corporation is based to try and stop them but many things arise to prevent them stopping the corp, Cole meets Ash and sparks fly between the two, the corp developes a monstrous robot (not a giant human-like robot) to do it, later creates an artificial dragon from the remains of an egg they call the Hydra project, then another one that revives a human with an almost entire robotic body, then last project a giant called Behemoth thats part of their "Frankenstein" project to create a real monster of a human using many dead people bodies and parts. *Gasps for air* Behemoth has a secret connection to the Hydra and to draconians I won't explain because it'll ruin plot and such, but thats the basic plot for this story, longer than the last story's basic plot x.x
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(3) - Bounty (Obviously a working title, based around my main bounty hunter character Rainer)
Like I said for Moonshade, I want to make this a comic and any media after that would be awesome. This is actually a three part story, and unlike my first story listed here, telling parts from later on in this story won't ruin what happens from earlier parts, especially since it's kind of obvious what happens with each one.
I don't have a big world thought up because it takes place in one of a few cities around the world after an almost apocalyptic (maybe nuclear) World War, and since it's a post-apocalytpic world, technology hasn't made too big of a jump from our current technology. The city is named Hope and is on Manhatten Island, but at this point it's not called that and the island is shaped differently and also has a smaller island to it's southeast. It's named after the meaning of the word and a town called New Hope (a real town in Pennsylvania) that doesn't exist at this point. Most of the rest of North America has become a desert, even in the coldest of winters (which aren't as cold as we get in NE USA now) it doesn't snow.
The first story is subtitled 'Lost Hope,' the second story is subtitled 'Fragments,' and the third story is subtitled 'Stardust,' although I MIGHT change the third's name.
The main character is a bounty hunter named Rainer, the second main character of 'Lost Hope' is a guy named Caster, second main character of 'Fragments' and 'Stardust' is a girl named Kanata Conner, the last four main characters introduced in 'Fragments' but become actual main characters in 'Stardust.' The first five big bounty heads that make up the big part of 'Lost Hope' are based on the five elements, Earth is Blake Richter, Fire is Casey Schroder (makes two major appearances), Air is Edward Kuhns, Water is Kain Douglas, and Aether is a mystery. They were genetically altered to be able to control the elements their individual projects are named after. 'Fragments' doesn't have bounty heads, instead the group that altered the first five decide to take revenge on the bounty hunter that killed their last creations, so this time Rainer is the one being hunted. These four project names are named after four gods of Roman mythology and I've only given two actual names so far, Neptune is Drake Douglas (Roman god of the sea and brother of Kain and wants revenge, also has similar powers over water), Mars is Chris Battle (Mars is the god of war, Battle carries six swords all with different powers and names), Pluto is unnamed (god of death, wields a giant scythe lik the grim reaper, I drew an old picture of him and its in my gallery), last is Jupiter (Roman king of the gods like Zeus, the character is literally larger than life, like Behemoth in Moonshade). 'Fragments' also has a group of four people with a goal I haven't thought of yet, but only one is named and they're based on the four suits of playing cards; Jack of Clubs, Queen of Hearts, King of Diamonds, and Ace of Spades named Darien. This second story also marks the end of the group that altered those nine, the group in 'Stardust' is a whole new group and aren't seperate bounty heads or bounties at all. This group originated in the vast desert of North America and is trying to gain military might to not only try and start up civilization around the globe, but also control with their military that which they want to make, so yes they are trying to restore the Earth, but bad guys wanting to control it. The main members of this group named themselves after chess pieces to represent themselves, because chess is a game involving a lot of thought and strategy. While the whole military represents their pawns, the lowest ranking of the top members is officially titled Pawn and is named Jet, Rook is named Ryder, Knight I haven't named, Bishop is named Reinhardt, there isn't a Queen even though Bishop has adopted the role but wasn't given the title, and King is named Erasmus. The reason there isn't a Queen is because Darien (Ace of Spades) is it's former Knight (who was replaced) and Queen of Hearts is the former chess Queen.
Not going to explain plot because if you read that then you should have an idea already.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(4) - Begin Again (Title is based on the Shinedown song)
Umm....ditto about the media.
This will probably be the shortest of these first four. Begin Again's main character is Will Loehr, the comic artist who made the comics of Cole and Rainer, so yeah a fictional ME.
The story begins...with me dying, HAHA. But yeah, it takes place in a sort of personal purgatory, to prove if Will is worthy of going to Valhalla, because like it or not, Ragnarok is right around the corner (a second story to this I want to do but have not ideas for atm). And even though it's a personal purgatory after Will dies, it's relation to time in the living world is about 100+ years from now, and the spirits of people Will knew in life (people I know) are there to help him. One big key one being Will's girlfriend/wife from life, three other big key ones being deities from Norse mythology. Thor, Loki, and Hel are those three, yes I know that the myth of Ragnarok is AGAINST Loki and Hel and other bad ones, but over the course of hundreds of years, things change. And even though Loki and Hel are on the good side for the coming Ragnarok, they're the ones that control this world (the personal puratory) and are the bad guys to basically prove his worth to.
I do have more thought up, but I've also said a little too much, but that's about it for this story.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for my four fanfic ideas, no specific order, other than the fact I have my fav two listed first:
[1] The Legend of Zelda (No I don't have a subtitle for it yet)
I'm just going to copy the link to an old journal about this idea:
[link]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2] Gundam SEED (No subtitle either....I might call it Gundam SIEG *snicker*)
This is NOT based on the characters or story of the anime series, the reason it's a SEED fanfic is because the Gundam lover I am, I've thought up mech designs for my own gundams. And SEED is just the most convenient already made world to put them in, my key gundam Sieg is a customized version of one of the gundams from SEED, and lastly noting that I have my custom GOUF and ZAKUs that are based on the ones from SEED Destiny. So SEED is just the best place to put them all in.
Main character is Alec Winstaff who (obviously with the help of his junker guild) built his custom GOUF and Gundam Sieg, second main is a girl named Kath who has her own custom ZAKU from when she was in the military and later gets the Valkyrie Gundam from Alec that uses the same two main weapons as her old ZAKU. The only two other things I've thought up are the leader of Alec's junk guild named Krys Loehr and their guild being based in her ship called the Asgard, the second is that I've thought up the bad guy Gundam Fenris and it's pilot Tek. If I get these three gundams drawn up I'll list weapons, specs, and various other things in their descriptions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[3] Battle Network X (Yeah an idea I've had for a MegaMan Battle Network featuring characters from the X series)
I know that people all over the net have played with the idea and made some custom ROMs and whatnot, but my idea stands apart from all the rest. In the end of the last Battle Network, there was a part with grown up Lan and MegaMan but they didn't show what they looked like, and I'm not spoiling anything about it other than that in case someone reading this wants to play it. But since they never showed what they look like it's not hard to make a fanfic like this one.
My idea takes place around when Lan is in high school (so yeah he's older) meanwhile little digital Mega hasn't aged (I don't think netnavi's actually age?? Even though there are some old netnavis in the games....). But if anyone's played the Gamecube BN game then they know of the Zero virus that was made based off Zero and his virus from the X series. But some remaining data on the net that was left from when Zero was around had slowly evolved into a new virus strain that makes its appearance shortly before this story. Since this virus (like the Zero virus) corrupts netnavis and makes them uncontrolable, Dr. Hikari and others at Sci-Lab develope an upgrade for all netnavis based on an original upgrade they were planning before the virus. It's called a Reploid patch (Reploids are the robots from the X series) to help protect them from the new virus and also gives the owner and netnavi the option of even redesigning their netnavis, it also has a new version of the Navi Customizer program. I chose to have it opt for changing netnavis so that humanoid netnavis from the games can be upgraded into some reploids and mavericks from the X series, without making many new characters. The original it was based from was later modified into a stronger version for MegaMan called the X Patch, which turns the netnavi MegaMan into X. With the familiarity of this new virus they eventually find Zero (who was cleaned as a virus and turned into a netnavi at the end of the GC game) and find out he isn't the cause, but he is also immune and trying to fight back. Lan also got a new PET for the X Patch which has a new feature called a Partner program, it allows for Lan to have two netnavis, initially having Zero join X (oh so nostalgic), but also allowing him to use others. Eventually Zero and ProtoMan (who did get the upgrade but chose to not change) are heavily damaged in battle and merge int a new improved version of both of them calling himself the real Zero. I've also had many ideas to the netnavis after their upgrades and such but that's too much to add to this LONG journal. But I will note that a new character named Nic has a netnavi Magma Dragoon plays a role similar to Chaud in the early games, his name is Nic for a reason; Network Interface Controller, the network card comps use to connect to LANs, I might name him Wily....
But if this were a game, it would have a whole new game system based on both the GBA games and the GC game. Off the net gameplay would be similar to the GBA games, but on the net would be the combo of both. It would play like the GC game, where its an action platformer and everything is in real time (pauses when selecting cards), but it would keep the overhead perspective of the GBA games. That would allow for the dashing and jumping and many fast paced things from the X series (before it went to PS2 where movement is so slow), but keeping familiarity with the Battle Network series. So essentially on the net it would be similar to a game called Scurge Hive on the GBA and DS, look it up on youtube if you're curious.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4] Extreme Ghostbusters (I think I mentioned this in a recent journal)
I mentioned in my last journal I wanted to make a comic of Extreme Ghostbusters taking place in the reality of the 80s movies, so if you want to read you can just go clicky clicky on that second entry on the journal list to the right up there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And lastly, my new story idea thought up today...or yesterday, I started this journal about 11:40pm on 6/16 and ended in AM hours of 6/17, but I thought up on 6/16 x.x
(5) I have no title for it yet, but it's based loosely on the myth of the Jersey Devil. Check here to read about JD:
[link]But my story won't be about JD himself, it'll be in a fantasy world (maybe throw in some sci-fi). The main character is someone who was born from the royal family, but cast out since before birth, and later in life takes his revenge on the whole family.
Honestly I wasn't thinking about Code Geass when I thought this one up, I only just realised how similar this idea is to CG when I first started this journal. Anyway, Lelouch is the 11th child and this also won't have giant robots, so NO its not based on Code Geass D:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All those above stories are copywright to me damnit D:<
Except of course in the case of he fanfic stuff, all the original work for those four are copywright to their respective owners and creators, only the original stuff for those (plot, character redesigns, new characters, etc) are copywright to me D:
